1.)    My relationship with water is cool because I don’t have a problem with it. I like drinking water; it’s really good for you and cleans your system.  I love taking showers and brushing my teeth with water. Makes me feel fresh. By me swimming in water I feel it’s important when you know how to swim really good, you can feel a certain way of joyfulness and happiness. For the ones that don’t know how to swim should learn.  At some point you going have to learn and know how to survive when you in water. So you can feel something when you are swimming. I sometimes don’t worry about the future of drinking water. Just be careful what type of water you drink.
2.)    When I get accepted to Columbia, I think by me being myself willed make me stand out because I’m not trying to be somebody else and its real.

Adam Guerrero:Question 15

Adam Guerrero: Question 15

My relationship with water is good, I have no problem with it, but I’m not much for swimming, I just don’t trust it. I like drinking water, it tastes good, I think that drinking water is healthy for you; it purifies the body on the inside. I like bathing in water, I like looking at the beautiful water, and it’s amazing that most of this world is consumed by water. Whenever we have a drought I can tell, because there is less water, and the days are hotter. I think that the future of water will be the same, unless people change the way it is made. Overall I like water, it tastes good, it’s beautiful to look at, and it’s fun to play in.

Last bridge blog question: Breje & jonn

                                                                                      Last bridge blog question

In Chicago, water is both obvious and often overlooked. We used it every day of our lives. Without water we will not be alive. 60% of your body is made from water. Water is the key to human kind. The relationship I have with water is off and on. Like I didn’t really think about how much water I’m am using sometimes. I keep the water running for hours sometimes before I get into the shower and I stay in the shower about an hour long. I used my dishwasher a lot too. Sometimes I think what if we do run out later down the road. What do we turn to then? And with that idea that’s makes me turn off the water when I’m getting ready for school or just washing my dog in the bathtub or cleaning my car. I think it is important to know when some area around you are having drought because we all stay on this earth and used the same water.

Sometimes I worry about the future of drinking water because lake Michigan when I go to the beach the water looks old and dirty and under safe to used or be in. I think the water looks like this way because of us not caring about what we put in to or do it to. We throw food, bottoms, paper, cans and etc. into it. Even sometimes I see at the beach little child and older people using the bath into. And didn’t think about what we are doing until it is too late.

                                                                           Standing out

Once I get accepted at Columbia, the one way I will stand out from the rest of the students is by showing passion with learning new things, have an open mind about stuff I even tried. Another way I’m going to stand out is by getting to know my teacher and showing that I care what their have to say and teach. Another way is by being passion within my body of art. And do things different with it.  How I planned to make that happen is by staying me and staying out going within my class. And the reason why I want stand out is because that will help me with my school work and help me out with my dreams.

When I do get accepted to Columbia everybody will know who Trevon Alexander Keithley is and I plan on making that happen as soon as move in day gets here. I want to be the drake of Columbia College. You know how you don’t know EVERYBODY in young money but you know a few of them and Drake is one that everybody knows, yeah that’s how I want to be known at Columbia.   The guy that is good at what he does and everybody enjoys talking with him and being around him. I feel that I will stand out for a few different reasons. For one I know that I can make people laugh and that I’m a pretty laid back guy to be around. People will know me as the comedian of class.  People will also know me because of my talents. I will make sure that everybody knows my talents and that I’m good at using them. I also want to be known for the many good deeds and or things I have worked on and done. I want people to know that I’m a nice guy at the end of the day. People should know me as Trevon as the guy that everybody loves and works hard on anything that’s put in front of him.

I'm gonna cry!

When I get accepted to Columbia, I will stand out because of the comfort I’ve gained in this atmosphere. I’m in the habit of doing my homework every night, and I’m actually excited about school. I feel that a lot of incoming freshmen feel panicked because they don’t what to expect. I also feel that this program has given me a good idea of where my writing and work lies as far as college-level work is concerned. I think I have a good understanding of what my teachers will be looking for from me.
In high school, I would not be caught dead doing my homework. To me, it was a joke. I already understood what was going on in class; I didn’t need to do it. My teachers grew very frustrated with me because they could see I understood subject matter and that I was smart. I could not bring myself to get on a schedule of doing homework after school and my grades suffered. Now, I do it because I love it, and I can. I feel like homework is a way to show my teachers I care. Instead of just acing the test and never doing homework, I think a lot about what I learn in class here at Columbia. I want to do well.
I’m excited for the fall semester to start. I know that my classes are going to be fun, but really I’m anxious to get started on all the work. It’s just another excuse to show off my awesome talents. Bridge has really built up my confidence about coming to college. It’s also increased my confidence in me, and what I’m capable of. I feel a lot of incoming freshmen don’t have that. So, I know I’ll be a step ahead of them as far as that goes.
This bridge program has not only strengthened my writing, but it has prepared me for writing in my actual classes here. I know I can write, and I’d say I’m pretty good at organizing thought on paper, but now I understand why I do that, and that this is what college teachers are looking for.
I’m almost grateful that I did badly in high school. Let’s see why: I got an adorable baby puppy for 8 dollars who will be my best friend for life, I met amazing people I plan to keep in contact with at school, and I’m not afraid of the unknown of college anymore, because I know now, for the most part at least. Not many people can say that during their transition from high school to college.
So, thank you Bridge Program. You saved my dreams of coming to college, and you’ve prepared me to be more successful than I thought I could be. Jonn, you’re an awesome English teacher, and I really learned a lot from you. Colleen, thank you for making us dig deeper and put thought into what we see or say or do. Both of you have made me probably twice as articulate as I was before. And to all my girls and boys in Bridge, you guys are inspiring. You are all so hard working, and I can tell each and every single one of you is original and passionate for something incredible. Every day I see you all it puts a smile on my face and I’ve learned so much from all of you. I’m really happy you can accept me for the crazy, random little girl that I am. It means a lot.
LOVE YOU GUYSSSSSSSSS!

Question#1:

My relationship with water is that I drink it, I shower in it, I cook with and I use it for watercolor paint.  It’s important to me because without water, how can we bath? How can we cook? How can we hydrate our bodies? Answer is you can’t because without water we can’t do any of those things. I do worry about the future of drinking water, because water comes from the river that is clean but if you take it out of the river and place it in a bottle your contaminating purified water by placing chemicals and getting rid of the minerals. But, drinking bottle water is like drinking regular water. Being half native, my family believes in many things. Water essentially represents healing, serenity and peace according to my Cherokee tribe. It means washing away something from the past and purifying it. I love the rain. And personally every time it begins to rain, I would look at out my window and watch every drip fall from the sky as if the clouds are shedding tears.

Question#2:

I have no doubt of getting accepted in Columbia, because I know that I’m going to get there if I work hard and believe. Many students here are artsy, creative, aspiring, fun and unique individuals. But, one way that I would stand out from Columbia students would have to be not only through music, dance and art. I would stand out with my own sense of unique style, I love fashion always have at a young age, I love to dress up if I’m going somewhere it makes me feel confident.

My Passion... -Zullay

I think a way I’ll stand out from everyone else could be making my own style of photography and making sure that it’s something that no one has ever seen in any other photographer before. That way, people at Columbia that are into Fashion Design or need a head shot for a special project could come to me and I’d gladly take a picture for them and take it the way they want it exactly. Of course I know that college students don’t have a lot of moneyL, but if I take pictures for students, if they wanted to pay me I’d gladly take it, if they don’t have the money its fine. Either way it’s a win-win situation. They get their pictures and I get my portfolio started up with their pictures in them which helps me gain more experience and lets my teachers and future bosses, or people looking for photographers, a chance to look at my work and hire me in the near future!
