Outside of
school I usually dance. I used to go to a dance school called Christine
Belpedio’s School of Dance. I say “used to” because I do not plan on going
anymore. As my first year of college, I want to be worry-free and not have to
worry about going to dance classes and getting there on time. Going to dance
was fun though. Every year we took as many dance classes as we wanted and
learned and warmed up for a few weeks from September to November. In December,
we started to prepare for our big dance recital we had in May. Going to dance
was so chaotic during that time because the teachers would start to become very
strict and they would get upset even if it was our first time being late. Although
it was so hectic, it was so much fun! Dressing up and costumes and dancing in
front of a huge audience was always the most exciting thing about the recital.
Just showing everyone what you’ve learned that whole year and dancing your
heart out was the best part about being in that dance school.
I absolutely love downtown Chicago! I
don’t know what you guys are talking about the sewage smell, the birds and the
cold weather. All of that is what makes downtown Chicago! People always complain about how stinky and
polluted Chicago is (IT IS TRUE) but no one ever does anything to try and
prevent it or stop it. And the cold weather; if I could live an area where it
was cold the whole year round I would! I love Chicago’s weather. It’s kind of
like a mix of every climate there is in the U.S. My favorite thing about this
weather is the snow! The first snowfall is always the prettiest. Just watching
the snow fall through your window and being able to make snowmen and have
snowball fights! The only time I hate snow is when it gets to the end of the
season and the snow starts to look all mucky dirty and black. Also Christmas and
New Year’s is in this season so to me, it’s perfect. It’s just not Christmas is
there is no snow. The winter is my favorite season of Chicago, besides the fall
of course. And……. It’s my birthday season! J
