If I could
change one thing in the world it would be for everyone to look past race and to
judge a person by what’s on the inside and not on the outside. Often time
people will look at a person and say well I don’t want to be friends with them
because their black, Hispanic, white, Mexican, Asian etc. People rarely just
get to know a person by what’s on the inside because they can’t get past their
skin color. If everyone was color blind I can almost promise that the world
would be a much better place. I know for sure that I don’t see color, and I see
everyone as equal. I show know type of special attention to people of my
ethnicity or vice versa.
I’m also
sure that it wouldn’t be nearly as many racial slurs or racial murders in the
world. People would forget about race and see people for who they really are.
We would have more insight on different things because different races would
converse about things they wouldn’t normally speak on and you would have a variety
of viewpoints on a topic rather than just your one race. While it’s very
important to know your racial background its ok to see past all of the slavery,
genocides, holocaust, and things of that nature because the people that are
walking the earth with you today have no control over that. What happened in
the past has nothing to do with what’s going on today or what may happen in the
future. So I challenge you to get out and get to know people of different races
and judge them on their talents, heart, mind, and soul instead of just their
skin color.
