Let's go on an advencha!

Outside of school I explore! Living in the suburbs, there is so much to do. There are forest preserves and lakes and big open prairies. There’s not even enough time to see it all!
My favorite thing to do is go to the sag quarries and go fishing. It’s beautiful. It reminds me of Canada. The foundation of the woods is all rock. It looks like the trees grow straight out of a giant bolder.
There are hidden platforms or rock where no one can see you. You can go fishing, have a picnic and be completely secluded, dead to the world in your own little world.
I also love going to the Maple Lake woods. Have you ever been driving on a winding road through the forest, and you look into the forest and see huge gapping ravines with tiny creeks running through them? Have you ever been in those ravines? Go. I’m telling you, being at the bottom of a huge pit of nature, looking up into the trees is gorgeous. The sun hits the leaves and reflects off on to the floor of the forest and makes pretty patterns near your feet.
Living in the Midwestern suburbs is probably the biggest blessing ever. I am such a hyper person. I need to constantly be amazing by my surroundings. A small walk to the forest preserve can quench my thirst for activity.
