                  My Passion My Future

                Being a future Columbia student i have a dreams that i intend on make reality.

I plan to double major in dance & theatre and minor in business management. I'm pretty talented in most arts like musical instruments, dance, theatre, singing, designing,& film making. Dance, theatre, and singing are my strong points. I know, I'm possible a triple threat. But, i learned that's what it takes to get in the entertainment industry.

            I feel like I'm just not the type of person to live a normal life. You know, sitting at an office desk, being a nurse, or working a nine to five and barely making ends me. My plan is to entertain my way through life. I want to dance ! Travel the world and assist artist in their performances or inspire young dancers who watch me in a movie like Step Up. If get physically injured then the next step is acting, which i can do very well. But, knowing how hard it is just to be a major actor i have my third back up. My last and final fall back is business management. Not for a small business of the strip or something but the person who plans and sets dates of major events for major people. While doing this id still be surrounded by the entertainment world & traveling it as well.

            There are steps to becoming my ideal success story . That's where Columbia College comes into play to educate, prepare, & introduce me to opportunities. The fact that Columbia teaches you your trade, helps you build your portfolio, & gives you possibilities of internships & jobs made me feel like i HAD to go to this school. It wont be easy, but if i do what i have to do to make it now id be able to be comfortable & do what i want & love for the rest of my life. My key words for the next for years of my life are hard work, network, & get work !

            Life will definitely throw challenges like my health issues, stress, doubt, & finical problems my way. All i have to do is remember i have a goal and if i don't make it Ill have nothing else. There is always someone out there worse off then you . A struggle is a blessing because if you make it through it, it only makes you wiser & stronger. My high school adviser told me, " You are not college material so an arts school is not realistic." She just gave me more of a push to make it, to prove her wrong. I will make it. When i knock on the door of an opportunity & know one answers ill just keep knocking cause eventually the first owner of the house will die & a new owner will open the door.
