I am a very “green” person and I despise
anyone that doesn’t have a care of what our world is becoming. Every day, we
encounter new environmental problems and people just seem like they have no
care in the world. I became a vegetarian because I wanted to make a difference.
I go to beach cleanups so that I could feel like I’m doing at least something
great for our environment. It feels so bad to live in a place where you see
people in the streets throwing plastic wrappers on the streets when there is a
garbage can 2 feet away from them, or how sick someone can be to abuse and
mistreat animals in a farm. All these things really got me thinking one day in
my high school freshman class when my biology teacher explained how life on
Earth could end very soon due to all of our ignorance. Living on this planet is
like living in your own home, you wouldn’t just throw random garbage on the
floor, or harm others in your home by releasing harsh chemicals into the air.
The way you live at home should be the same way you treat your real home, EARTH.

Whole Class Effort. Zullay Orozco
My favorite
singer is Frank Ocean. I like him because he has his own style of music. It’s
unique. I guess every musical performer is unique in their own way but Frank
has a certain style that you can’t find in anyone else’s music. His music is a
sort of romantic R&B mixed with his own little style. I like the way he
puts his beats and lyrics together into a song and how good they both complement
each other. He has impacted my life because of the risks he has taken in his
music career. About a month ago, he recently came out as being “bi-sexual” and
he said this a few weeks before his new album “Channel Orange” came out. I am
proud of him for doing that because he probably lost a few fans, but he also
gained new ones. He has the courage to stand up for what he believed in and I admire
that about him.
