Ryan Errant Blog Post #5 Going Green

Going green is definitely a very important part of keeping the world save to live in and keeping it habitable. Slowly but surely, the world is becoming more and more green. But with the economy being how it’s been lately, it’s hard not to do things you’re against doing. From the lecture we had last week about the marine life being at risk because of how much fish we catch and the risk of animals becoming extinct. I’m sure some of those fishermen are against over catching the fish in our oceans, but they probably just do it anyway because finding a decent job these days is hard to find and they’re probably just thinking about supporting their families. I mean who wouldn’t want the world to be perfect to live on and not have any problems? I know I would. But in my opinion, it’s extremely close to impossible. Just like having zero war or violence in the world. I know it’s sad to say, but human beings are extremely selfish creatures. All we care about is what we want, and the person who disagrees with us is the bad guy. Sure over fishing is bad and some people think it should be stopped before extinction occurs, but for the guy doing all of the fishing, that’s how he makes an income, how he feeds his family. Yes, I am totally against it, but at the same time I understand why they do it and why it’s happening.

  1. I understand completely what you mean with the over fishing and the fisher man supporting their family, but some way this has to stop because they can kill and keep all the fish because there a part of this world and life to but I do understand that a man has to feed him and his family in order to survive.
